Project Description

_ It provides a clinical precinct strategy in alignment with the model of care, separating acute, ambulatory and Sub-Acute healthcare services

_ It is a compact solution, which is designed over 3 to 5 level buildings and is located in a PNG natural setting

_ Its compact footprint allows for future expansion

_ It has the potential for clear access strategy and works on the principle of having functionally efficient health services clusters with welcoming strategy

_ It uses site topography to provide an integrated urban design with central greenspace which has active rehabilitation and agricultural usages

_ A separate entrance is available to the Family, Women’s and Children’s Cluster

_ A separate entrance is available for the Polyclinic and Ambulatory Care

_ It has direct and discrete connections between the Emergency department, ICU, Operating Theatres, Day Surgery and Birthing Unit, which also has a dedicated entrance

_ It is designed with a Departmental stacking, which responds to its Model of Care.
